These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of connectcincy.co (the "Site") and your attendance at Connect Cincy events. By using the Site, RSVPing to an event, or attending an event, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or attend our events.
Connect Cincy ("Connect Cincy," "we," "us," or "our") organizes monthly in-person networking events for professionals and entrepreneurs in the Cincinnati area, typically held at bars, restaurants, or similar venues (each, a "Venue").
Connect Cincy events are intended for working professionals and are not directed at children — you must be at least 18 years old to RSVP or attend. Where alcohol is served, you must be 21 or older to purchase or consume it, and Venues may require valid ID.
RSVPs are free unless otherwise stated on the event page. When you RSVP, you agree to provide accurate information (name, email, guest count). We may use headcounts to plan with Venues and sponsors, cap attendance, or close RSVPs once an event reaches capacity. We reserve the right to refuse or revoke an RSVP at our discretion, including for prior conduct violations.
Many Connect Cincy events take place at Venues that serve alcohol. Connect Cincy does not sell or serve alcohol itself — any alcohol at an event is sold and served by the Venue, subject to the Venue's own policies and applicable law. If you choose to drink:
Attending an in-person event carries inherent risks — including but not limited to accidents, injury, illness, loss or damage to personal property, and interactions with other attendees or Venue staff, who are outside our control. By attending, you voluntarily assume all such risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and agree not to sue Connect Cincy, its organizers, volunteers, and sponsors for any claims, injuries, losses, or damages arising from your attendance at an event, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. This release does not apply to claims against the Venue itself, which operates independently of Connect Cincy.
We want Connect Cincy to be a welcoming, professional space. While attending an event, you agree not to engage in harassment, discrimination, violence, or disorderly conduct toward other attendees, Venue staff, or organizers. We reserve the right to remove anyone from an event, and to bar them from future events, for violating this Code of Conduct, without refund of any paid fees.
We do our best to run events as announced, but we may need to change the date, time, Venue, or format of an event, or cancel it entirely, due to circumstances like low RSVPs, Venue issues, weather, or events outside our control. We'll try to notify RSVP'd attendees of significant changes using the contact information you provided.
We often photograph and record video at events for use on our Site, social media, and marketing materials, and by attending you consent to being included in that content. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle photos and other personal information.
Sponsorship of Connect Cincy events is subject to a separate agreement between the sponsor and Connect Cincy. These Terms govern general use of the Site and event attendance but do not replace any specific terms agreed to as part of a sponsorship arrangement.
The Connect Cincy name, logo, and Site content (excluding user-submitted content and third-party sponsor logos) are owned by Connect Cincy. You may not use them without our permission.
Our events take place at independently owned and operated Venues, and our Site may link to third-party websites. We aren't responsible for the policies, actions, products, or services of any Venue or third-party site — your interactions with them are solely between you and that party.
The Site and our events are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any event will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connect Cincy and its organizers, volunteers, and sponsors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or attendance at an event. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or an event is limited to the amount (if any) you paid to attend that event.
You agree to indemnify and hold Connect Cincy and its organizers, volunteers, and sponsors harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your conduct at an event.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continuing to use the Site or attend events after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
